Over the years, Cobourn & Saleeby, L.L.P. has obtained many verdicts, administrative awards, and settlements on behalf of our clients.  Below is a partial list of our successes. Please be advised that the following is only a partial list, and does not constitute a promise or guarantee of any particular result.  Since the facts and circumstances vary greatly from case to case, the outcome of any particular case cannot be predicted by any lawyer’s or law firm’s past results:

• $1.5 million – Workers’ Compensation settlement for a client who sustained a severe spinal injury after falling from a roof.  (2003)
• $449,000.00 – Workers’ Compensation settlement for client who sustained injuries to his back and ankle. (2009)
• $250,000 – Automobile Accident settlement for a client who was struck by an unmanned car that began to roll while undergoing repairs. (2005)
• $450,000.00 –Workers’ Compensation settlement (details are protected by confidentiality clause).  (2007)
• $273,000.00 – Workers’ Compensation settlement obtained after this denied claim was litigated through the North Carolina Full Commission.  Client sustained multiple injuries after passing out while trying to put out a fire caused by a ruptured fuel line. (2008)
• $580,000.00 – Automobile Accident settlement for a client who was forced to undergo back surgery after being rear-ended by another driver. (2000)
• $249,000.00 – Workers’ Compensation settlement for a client who sustained a work-related shoulder injury, and whose claim was denied by the insurance company. (2010)
• $91,834.00 – Workers’ Compensation settlement obtained after this denied claim was litigated through the N.C. Court of Appeals.  Client suffered a heart attack while operating a tractor trailer, and both the employer and its insurance company strongly defended their denial of this claim, arguing that the heart attack was not work-related.  The case, Wooten v. Newcon Transportation, was named by North Carolina Lawyer’s Weekly as one of the most important decisions of the year. (2006)
• $80,000.00 – Automobile Accident verdict for a client who sustained a back injury after being rear-ended by another driver.  With the inclusion of interest and costs, the final judgment obtained was $90,361.78.  The highest offer from the insurance company prior to trial was $30,000.00. (2004)
• $145,000.00 – Workers’ Compensation settlement for a client who sustained a work-related neck injury. (2010)
